Chapter 7:
Deliverance From God's Wrath
The Bible, inspired by the Holy Spirit, inerrant and authoritative, literally interpreted, speaking truth that all can understand, and gives much comfort in the promise that believers are not appointed to suffer God’s wrath. Whether we deserve it or not, we have God’s Word that we are to wait for Jesus, who will deliver us from the coming wrath of God:
“to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead-Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.” (1 Thess 1:10)
And again Paul states that:
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thess 5:9)
A promise from Jesus to the Church of Philadelphia:
"Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth." (Rev 3:10)
The Greek word “from” is “ek”, which literally means “out of”. Jesus is saying that He will keep them “out of” the hour of trial, not through the hour of trial.
When discussing end time events, Jesus exhorts believers to pray that they may be able to escape the coming events:
"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
(Luke 21:34-36 NKJV)
Are you "praying that you will be counted worthy to escape all these things... and to stand before the Son of Man," or are you expecting, or teaching, that the Church will go through the Tribulation. If YOU are teaching, preaching or sharing that the Body of Christ will go through the Tribulation and NOT be snatched out, and then perhaps YOU will have the misfortune of having to go through the Tribulation. First, because you are not praying to be worthy of escape, and Second, because Rev. 22:18 says that those who misrepresent the prophecies of Revelation will receive the plagues of Revelation:
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."
(Rev 22:18-19)
The warning of this verse will have little punch, if in fact, the Church were to go through the Tribulation, since believers are turned over to Satan and receive the plagues anyway. As Jesus says in Matthew 24:21, "If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened." However, since the Church, is in fact, snatched out and delivered from the wrath of the Tribulation, the above warning is dire and a terrible consequence for falsely misrepresenting the Book of Revelation, and End-Time Prophecies. Be careful what you teach & preach because if you are wrong you just might get what YOU teach anyway!
The Rapture is Per-Wrath & Pre-Tribulation! As Jesus says, "Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the son of man." (Luke 21:36)
